The Challenge
A global pharmaceutical company established a Cash Management Office to sustain $900M to $1B in free cash flow. After aggressively pursuing DPO and DSO improvements that plateaued, the organization faced increasing pressure on DIO as the primary remaining driver of cash flow improvement. Structural challenges including siloed accountability, technology without behavioral change, and cross-functional complexity had blocked meaningful progress.
The Approach
Kryus Ventures implemented a structured inventory optimization mobilization approach focused on both the technical and organizational dimensions of performance. Working across three pillars, we mobilized a cross-functional operating model to drive alignment and shared accountability, established a data-driven inventory baseline with standardized KPIs and a single version of the truth, and drove execution through a jointly owned Contract for Change, a roadmap with clear accountability, metrics, and governance.
